- I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. I came to the United States when I was about 16 years old. I am now living in Atlanta, Georgia with my son. I spent over eight years practicing law before I returned to my first love; writing. I recently wrote my first novel called "The Devil Is A Liar!" This book describes the life of a woman who learned how to shut out all the crippling voices in her head and learned how to simply hear from God. As a young girl I was inspired by the life of the great writer, Maya Angelou. I read the book “I know why the caged bird sings” and I knew then that I wanted to be a writer. I love words and how they can be beautifully woven to create life. My joy comes from putting my thoughts into words to inspire and motivate others. This blog was designed to motivate and inspire people through some of the lessons that I’ve learned thus far. I want my words to bless others, and that’s how I feel that I am paying it forward.
